I went to Riverbend Family Dental Care for the few years I was living in Edmonton. I initially came in for an urgent dental fix and thankfully they were extremely accommodating with a next day appointment. Dr. Kwon was the dentist I saw… and she is just the best. She refilled my two broken cavity fillings (which was quite tedious) and did a beautiful job so from there I didn’t look back. Not only her but all the dental assistants I had cleaning appointments with were so amazing! I’m back at my usual dentist in Toronto now and he said that whoever did my aforementioned fillings did a perfect job for what was an extremely tough task. Thank you Kwon & everyone!

I have been seeing Dr. Kim Farrell for as long as I can remember. She is such an incredible person inside and out. I feel as if she is apart of our family considering she watched me grow up and she is also my mom my dads and my two brothers dentist as well. She does amazing work she is informative and always makes sure you leave with a nice smile. She will always go the extra mile to work with you not against you. She takes her time makes you feel at home and at ease in case you’re afraid of the dentist. Dr. Farrell just know I will travel any distance to see you ❤️

Had my wisdom tooth grow in and it caused a lot of pain. I’m new to Edmonton and had no benefits or coverage yet. I called them at 2pm and was able to come in the next day for a check up! The ladies at the front desk were very phenomenal and the dental assistant and dentist were very informative and took their time to talk to me and explain everything!! they told me beforehand the cost of everything and even showed me beforehand how to use it. I’m planning on coming back here for my removal. Highly recommend this dental office!

Had a wonderful experience getting my teeth cleaned by Carolin. As someone with a bit of dental anxiety I found her warm personality very calming and she put me at ease immediately. She is very gentle and thorough clearly very experienced and skilled. Dr. Kwon was very detailed in her exam/assessment and has a very kind and reassuring demeanor. Through my many questions she never once made me feel rushed. I had a great experience at this clinic and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new dental office.

I had my annual teeth cleaning and exam today and the service at Riverbend Family Dental Care was excellent from start to finish. The front end staff are welcoming and professional. My cleaning by Carolin was so thorough and comfortable she is one of the best hygienists out there!! My 90 year mother in-law saw Bobbi for her cleaning who also did a fantastic job. Dr Kwon is very meticulous knowledgable and very caring as well I trust her with all my dental needs and highly recommend her to my friends and family.

My husband and I as well as our sons have been patients for over twenty years and although their dental team has changed somewhat we will continue to be loyal clients Dr. Kwon is amazing Julie and the office staff are wonderful they have all become like family! Everyone in their offices exceeds expectations; they are pleasant professional and very knowledgeable and do their utmost to ensure their patients comfort; we would never go any where else. Thank you Dr. Kwon Julie and staff!

Both doctors Dr Mah and Dr Farrell are excellent dentists. Their work is top notch. They are both friendly and passionate about their profession. The dentists and the staff go out of their way to make sure that client is satisfied and happy with the service they provide. I have been with Dr Mah for ten years and not once had was I unsatisfied with his work. I strongly recommend people go to Riverbend dental clinic. Great atmosphere friendly staff.

I have been a patient of Dr.Farrell’s since she worked at her clinic in Millcreek around 20 years ago. When she moved to Riverbend I followed her there even though I hate driving on the Whitemud. In my central neighborhood in which live there are at least three dental clinics within a three block radius. I tell her regularly that I would never take the Whitemud to Riverbend if I didn’t like her so much as my dentist. Dr.Farrell is excellent.

Dr. Kim Farrell is my ultimate favourite dentist. I've had many many dentists over my lifetime of 40+ years and Dr. Farrell tops them all. The service is incomparable. I feel like a valued person and feel very well taken care of. Been a patient of this clinic and Dr. Farrell for about 5 years now and I hope nothing changes for a very long time. I will continue to see her and her amazing team for as long as humanly possible.

Our Dentists

Dr Bomi Kwon

General Dentist

Dr. Kwon graduated from the University of Alberta with a Doctor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science degrees. During her training, she received academic and clinical awards for excellence in restorative dentistry. Dr. Kwon is committed to providing comprehensive patient-centred care, and she strives to care for her patients with quality dental treatment. She has a passion for preventative and aesthetic dentistry, and she is pursuing ongoing studies.

Dr. Kwon has been volunteering at The Boyle McCauley Health Centre to provide dental care to inner-city children and Kindness in Action dental mission trip in Peru.

Dr. Bomi Kwon was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Vancouver and Toronto. Bomi and her husband have called Edmonton home since 2011. In her spare time, you can find Bomi hiking and biking in the mountains. She also enjoys painting, baking, and walking her dog, Itchy.

Dr. Kwon practices all aspects of general dentistry and is accepting new patients.
Dr Mitesh Jani

General Dentist

Dr. Jani moved to Canada from Kenya (East Africa) when he was 10 years old. He grew up in Toronto and attended the University of Western Ontario in London, where he earned a Double Major in Anatomy/Cell Biology and Physiology. He then went on to train for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. After graduating, he relocated to Alberta and spent many years practicing dentistry and managing dental clinics in rural settings.

Dr. Jani enjoys all aspects of dentistry and values striving for a high standard of care, along with a positive patient experience. He takes pride in working with patients to tailor treatment recommendations that align with their needs, values, and circumstances.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jani enjoys deep reading and writing sessions, indulging in a variety of mindfulness practices, as well as spending time with his family.
